WHAT IS DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION?
Today’s post begins with an answer to what a company’s digital transformation is all about. The digital transformation of a company is about completely changing that company’s use or renewal of information and communication technologies with the aim of enabling greater productivity, growth, and competitiveness.
Digitalisation offers new business opportunities to companies, optimisation of work processes and operations, greater operational efficiency, higher productivity, new ways of designing and operating business models, encouraging innovation and development, and new ways of promoting, communicating, and connecting companies.
TENDER TO STIMULATE BUSINESS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
The greatest social shifts have been inextricably intertwined with technological development. The Slovenian Enterprise Fund, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the European Regional Development Fund, is aware of the importance of the digital transformation of key production processes. Therefore, until 2023, a tender is available to stimulate the growth and development of companies based on investments in the use of digital business in their supply and/or sales chains, increasing management capacity and investing in the digital transformation of production and operations of supported companies.
The project or product co-financed from the above-mentioned tender is approved in accordance with whether the innovation meets conditions such as: improving the customer experience, enabling efficient data collection, processing, and visualisation, digitising processes and solutions to support business, production, etc…
We are on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution, in which digitalisation is important to the food industry because it saves plants time, money, and controls processes more efficiently. The automatic recording of food safety cannot make mistakes, but at the same time it is enabled in real-time, and digitised centralised control via a single platform eliminates any technical and logistical problems. It is also environmentally friendly, as the use of paper is not necessary and all documents are signed digitally. Storing documents in digital rather than archival form saves time and space. Digital training of employees who have proven successful can also be carried out, as courses are available for each role in the company separately.
At Dotcom, we created the MoreFromFood digital solution with the help of co-financing from the above-mentioned fund. It is designed to improve the processes and systems of various food industries. The MoreFromFood solution can fully digitise processes in both restaurants and large industrial plants as it is completely adaptable. With the knowledge we have in this field, we offer companies concrete measures, steps, and a change in their way of working that steers them in a simpler, safer, and more efficient direction that arises from the use of new technologies.
It is necessary to be aware that with early digitalisation in the food industry we made a big impact on business processes and business opportunities. However, you are probably already more aware that an incentive to be active in the field of digital transformation is necessary, as this gives us the courage and motivation for development in new circumstances, in the direction of digitalisation, as encouraged by the European Union.
